Britannica Launches an Expert Educator Community, Britannica PIE!
At Britannica, one of our resolutions for 2017 is to bring together engaged educators to share ideas, feature our community’s work, and build a dynamic collective of Britannica users. We’re calling our new group of education experts “Britannica Partners in Education,” or Britannica PIE!
Why PIE?
Our team of Professional Development Specialists has the unique opportunity to meet with educators from around the country through trainings and workshops. During our travels, we’ve discovered how Britannica resources are being used to support new initiatives in classrooms and libraries. We are always amazed at the work being done by educators to support their students, fellow teachers, and schools. Britannica PIE is our way to bring these experts together, share the great work that is being done, and feature work from which others can benefit.
PIE members receive a digital badge for digital signatures or resume acknowledgements, are invited to our annual PIE event in Chicago, are featured on our blog and across social media, and are the first people we call upon for opinions on our products.
Here are some ways that Britannica PIE members are featured…
1. Become a featured contributor on our website by blogging on an education topic that you care about!
2. Lead a webinar on a relevant topic in the education world.
3. Share your lesson plan or activity ideas and we’ll feature them on our social media channels.
If you think you might be interested in joining this community, please reach out to me directly at [email protected] and I’ll set you up with more information. Become a piece of the Britannica PIE!
