February’s Focus on Science

February’s Focus on Science

From science fair talk to the fascination with this winter’s wild weather, February seems to be all about science!

For a limited time, we’re inviting schools to collaborate with us by using Pathways: Science at no cost to your school or district. This supplemental online resource provides 100 lessons that use an inquiry approach to overcome students’ common misconceptions about key life, earth, and physical science topics. Students learn to think like scientists by drawing upon prior knowledge, researching and evaluating evidence, and writing to support their claims.

Teachers will find an intuitive process, flexible implementation models, and other tools that make it easy to start using alongside an existing science program.

As part of our collaboration with your school or district, we’ll provide:

  • Free access to Pathways: Science during the second semester so teachers and students can complete a minimum of three (3) lessons of their choice;
  • A free 45-minute webinar training session scheduled at your convenience for all teachers before they begin using the program;
  • Ongoing involvement by Britannica’s Pathways: Science specialists at no cost to you to address instructional questions, ensure successful use, and obtain important feedback.

Pathways: Science In Action.

It’s always interesting to peek inside other classrooms and see how they are implementing technology. Take a look at how this New Jersey classroom uses Pathways: Science to build their science understanding while developing research and critical-thinking skills.

Science Fairs
