As a Cambridge Curriculum School, we know academic integrity is paramount. Please could you briefly explain what it was about the Britannica Education Empower Suite that gave you the confidence that our solutions meet the high standards required for your curriculum?** **Mrs. Jayne Lynx (JL): **The Britannica Education Empower Suite provides expert-vetted content that is fully aligned with curriculum standards. The Suite ensures instructional materials are evidence-based and designed specifically for teaching practice, thereby giving educators confidence in their curricular relevance. **Mrs. Heleen Tink (HT): **We are absolutely confident that Britannica Educationā€™s solutions meet the high standards required for our curriculum because all the information is thoroughly researched and checked which means we can use it without any fear of encountering content that may be inaccurate or offensive. Checking through the content ourselves would be time-prohibitive and would still leave us with a deficit in accuracy as we do not have specialists in all subjects on our staff. The Britannica Empower Suite is up to date which is important for students, teachers and parents to assist with research for projects (students in Zimbabwe are required to submit projects in order to pass their ZIMSEC examinations; these projects are referred to as CALA). What the Suite offers covers all age groups in our school from ECD to Grade 7, making it consistent; the vast library means we can call up information on any topic. **2. How do you think the Empower Suiteā€™s digital classroom solutions will change (or has changed) the way your students engage with complex topics or independent inquiry in the classroom, and at home?** **JL: **The Empower Suite transforms student engagement by shifting learning from passive absorption to active investigation through personalising learning experiences, which in turn, enable learners to explore independentlyā€¦ embedding inquiry and critical thinking into everyday lessons, and enabling meaningful learning both in class and at home. These features combine to create a more engaging, empowering, and inquiry-rich educational experience. **HT: **The Empower Suiteā€™s digital classroom solutions will make topics more interesting, varied and relevant; I think particularly for the younger learners who are largely still visual learners who understand and learn by sight more easily and enthusiastically. Children enjoy interactive activities, and we project that this will be a very popular tool. Videos always make learning more interesting. During COVID, teaching was done online and we relied heavily on e books which proved effective; we are excited to use e books again under better circumstances and with a much greater range. Digital and non-digital resources for teachers will be very welcome as it is easy to become ā€˜staleā€™ after years of teaching, so we will definitely make use of these resources which we know are accurate and safe; they will be a refresher course for many of us. Access to worksheets will also broaden our horizons and undoubtedly offer some different perspectives for us. **3. In a diverse, international learning environment, how will Britannica Education / The Empower Suite help your educators bridge the gap between different language proficiencies and cultural backgrounds?** **JL: **Britannica Education helps to bridge language and cultural gaps by providing multilingual and accessibility tools, offering culturally inclusive, globally relevant content and supporting independent learning at school and home. Once again, these elements establish an inclusive, high expectation learning environment where all learners, irrespective of language or cultural background, can engage, inquire and succeed. **HT: **The opportunity to use translation in The Suite will go a long way to bridging the gap with language differences. Students will have the chance to look at images and watch videos about other cultures and countries which is definitely contained in both the ZIMSEC and Cambridge curricula.
