FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHICAGO (July 1, 2018) The state of California has purchased Britannica School and Britannica Escolar for every student across the Golden State. Effective July 1, 2018, all pre-K through grade 12 schools in California—including all private institutions in addition to public—now hold the keys to the power of Britannica tools.
Thanks to the combined efforts of the California State Library and the Britannica Digital Learning team, this groundbreaking deal also encompasses all California public libraries, granting equal access to students with limited or no home internet service, homeschooled pupils, or any curious Californian with a library card.
Britannica is excited to welcome California to its global educator community. In the United States alone, 6 in 10 educators use Britannica’s award-winning product suite to engage students and lifelong learners and to meet the personalized needs of their communities. Britannica is committed to helping its latest regional partner do that and more.
Whether you’re new to the world of Britannica or already an expert user, you’ll find that Britannica is devoted to providing a hands-on, customized onboarding process for every educator, parent, and student included in this monumental purchase.
