A volunteer stint at her children’s elementary school initially peaked Hadassah Weiner Friedman’s interest in working in education. A full-time opportunity as a Before/After School Care Coordinator and Clerk soon opened up, and Hadassah excitedly accepted the job. Making the decision to solidify her career in the classroom, Hadassah received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and has been a proud math and science teacher for many years.
Carefully crafting assistance to obtain a small grant, and with the help of a caring community, Hadassah created a local mini-farm program for the school. Fresh eggs are shared with students, faculty, and staff regularly, fostering healthy eating habits and cultivating leadership and responsibility in the students.
